Join us in the fight against Leukemia

Since 1990, Local 1518 has been involved in fund-raising to combat leukemia, a disease that can affect anyone, regardless of age or gender.

Well over $750,000 has been raised by Local 1518 members since 1990 to combat leukemia. Cyclists, joggers, and walker relays, food and craft sales, contests, dances, garage sales, and car washes are just some of the activities Local 1518 members have taken part in to raise funds for this important battle.

To become involved with Local 1518 Leukemia Research Fund-Raising activities, please contact your Union Rep for more information. All funds raised stay right here in B.C. for research into leukemia.

Local 1518 Food Trailer Available for Fundraisers

UFCW LOCAL 1518 has a mobile food trailer available for groups wishing to sell fast food for fundraising purposes. This attractive unit is excellent for dispensing food, and is a very good draw at picnics, ball tournaments, etc. The "wiener wagon" is equipped with a grill, hotplates, and two built-in ice chests, and is available for a nominal fee of $25 per day. An SUV/pick-up truck, or otherwise large and strong vehicle can be used to tow the food trailer.
