Tentative Agreement Reached in Community Health Care Bargaining

After an all-night bargaining session a tentative agreement between the HEABC and the Community Bargaining Association, which includes UFCW Local 1518, has been reached.The package will be sent to the members for a vote early in the new year.

Key points of the agreement are:

A $0.25 shift premium for all hours worked on weekends.

• The setting in place of a joint working group with the employer to continue on improving current scheduling practices
• A point-of-sale prescription drug card (Blue Net)
• A substantial increase in Vision Care payments to $350 every 24 months
• A two year agreement
• Wage increases of 3% and 3% for LPNs. 

More details contained in the agreement and information on a ratification vote will be made available to all members early in the new year.
