Members Win Union Scholarships!

Twelve students have now been awarded the UFCW 1518 Scholarship for the 2009 Winter Academic Session, with awards totaling $12,000.

Each winning member received $1000 to attend post-secondary Colleges or Universities in British Columbia. Eight scholarships are awarded to students entering their first year of post-secondary education, with the remaining four going to students who are continuing their studies.

The UFCW 1518 Scholarship is not the only scholarship UFCW 1518 members can apply for. Your union is pleased to offer a wide variety of scholarships to members and their families. All members attending or planning to attend post-secondary schools in B.C. are encouraged to apply.
