Port McNeill IGA #20 Negotiations Update

The Union Negotiating Committee met with the employer on March 2nd and 3rd to continue bargaining for the renewal of a Collective Agreement for IGA #20 in Port McNeill.

Further to the IGA members meeting on February 25 where specific concerns were raised, the Union has brought these concerns forward to the employer and the parties are working on addressing them. 

At the bargaining table the employer put forward a monetary position; the Union has countered that position and we are awaiting the employer’s response. Tentative dates for reconvening negotiations are March 10 and 11th but the employer has yet to confirm these.
