Celebrate International Women’s Day with UFCW 1518

March 05, 2010

UFCW 1518 members are invited to come celebrate International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 7 from 1-4 p.m. with special guest speaker Sue Hopkins.

Sue will speak to the group about ‘The Question Behind the Question’ (QBQ), which is a life-skill tool that enables you to make better choices.

If you’ve ever heard questions like these:

  • When is someone going to train me?
  • Who’s going to solve the problem?
  • Why can’t they communicate better?

Join us for this event at the union’s head office at 350 Columbia St. in New Westminster.

Fair Trade tea will be served free of charge by a company named Angelic Teapot located in White Rock. Fair Trade teas and other products will also be available to members for purchase at the event. In addition, snacks will be provided and parking in the parkade will be paid for by the union.

The Columbia Skytrain station is right across the street from the union’s head office for those concerned about needing to take public transit. Bring your kids day care will be provided.
