Safeway T4s Wrong Again!!

Despite assurances from senior Safeway management that their T4 problems were corrected and that new T4s would be issued today, the company has announced that some of the T4s issued today were also wrong.

No one is surprised, especially Local 1518 members.

Today’s blunders are the latest in a long line of serious payroll recording errors that go all the way back to the summer of 2009 and Safeway’s disastrous introduction of a new payroll software program.

Since then, union members have been forced to cope with serious and often multiple errors on their paystubs, all because Safeway did not properly test their new software before putting it to use.

Safeway has stated that new T4s will be issued for March 10.

After all that Safeway members have been put through by their employer’s incompetence, a wait-and-see attitude would seem about right for whatever ends up in our hands on March 10.
