Community Health Care Workers Seniority is Not Changing

If you are a Community Health Care member within the Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) and you are being told or have been told by your employer that your seniority is changing as of April 1, 2010 please contact your Union Representative immediately because this is inaccurate information.

Under the provisions of the ratification document, which comes into effect on April 1, 2010, the Association of Unions and the employer are to form a committee to see if we can come to a common calculation of seniority. That committee has not yet met and there will be no change to seniority calculation until we do meet and agree to a common method of calculating seniority, if an agreement can be reached.
