The UFCW 1518 Community Action Network Celebrates Vaisakhi with the Community

On Saturday, April 10, the UFCW 1518 Community Action Network was among the more than fifty-thousand community members celebrating Vaisakhi in Vancouver.

The union gave out UFCW 1518 buttons, pens and mini frizbees to festival-goers. We also took the opportunity to have petitions signed for the living wage campaign (http://www.ufcw1518.com/node/3362) and gave out “Happy Vaisakhi” leaflets from UFCW 1518 with information about who we are and what we represent.

The next Vaisakhi parade is this coming Saturday, April 17 in Surrey (L-R) UFCW 1518's Paul Sanghera & Ravi Dhindsa, NDP MLA Adrian Dix, NDP Leader Carol James, NDP MLA Harry Bains, NDP MLA Raj Chouhan and Nimi Chauhan of UFCW 1518.and we will be out celebrating with the community again. All members are welcome to join in the fun too!
