Health Care Members: Check Your Pay Stubs For Pension Plan Deductions

It is extremely important that Community Health Care Workers check their pay stubs to ensure that if they are signed up for the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) the employer is taking off the proper MPP deductions.

Recently a member discovered, that since the MPP came into effect, the employer had not taken any MPP deductions off of her pay for several months. This member is now in the process of making payments so that she receives the appropriate pension credits.

To avoid this scenario, please check your pay stubs on a regular basis. The sooner errors are caught the sooner the proper adjustments can be made.
