Pricesmart Negotiations Begin!

Negotiations for UFCW 1518 members employed at Pricesmart Foods got underway today.

Pricesmart is owned by the Overwaitea Food Group, and the Union Negotiating Committee tabled its proposal that Pricesmart Foods workers join their colleagues at Save-On & Overwaitea Foods by having workers at all three banners covered by the Save-On/Overwaitea collective agreement.

The Union Negotiating Committee is scheduled to meet the employer again on July 26, at which time the employer is expected to present their proposals.

The Union Negotiating Committee is Arun Chatterjee (Pricesmart 2235 - White Rock), Debbie Enns (Pricesmart 2240 - Vancouver), Don French (Pricesmart 2242 – Langley), Chris MacDonald (Pricesmart  2215 – Surrey), and Wes Schellenberg (Pricesmart 2208 – Clearbrook), assisted by Monica Staff (Director, UFCW 1518) and Frank Pozzobon (Secretary-Treasurer, UFCW 1518).
