Are your hours maximized?

July 06, 2010

Please fill out an hours investigation form if you feel you have not been scheduled properly or your hours have not been maximized. After filling out a form make 2 copies, one for yourself, and the other for your employer. A Community Health Care Worker in Oliver was paid for 51.5 hours as the result of an hours investigation. These were hours she should have received by seniority, but did not.

Since centralized scheduling has come into effect in Penticton, Keremeos, and Oliver, scheduling has been inconsistent with seniority.

If you have any questions or concerns on this issue or any others please call your Union Representative, or the Health Care Members toll-free line at: 1-800-367-8111.
