Junior Clerk/Clerk II Wage Increase Issue To Go Before Arbitrator

The issue of Junior Clerks (Save-On/Overwaitea) receiving their 520 hour wage increase along with the issue of evening and weekend work is at last scheduled to be heard before an arbitrator. Tentative dates have been set for arbitration hearings to take place in approximately two weeks with the union and Overwaitea Food Group (OFG).

For Clerk IIs at Safeway, the issues are virtually identical to those of Junior Clerks at Save-On & Overwaitea, and the outcome of the hearings with OFG will influence the issue at Safeway.

Members will be kept posted on news coming out of the arbitration hearing.
