Trail Walmart Associates request assistance from union

TRAIL BC - Walmart workers in Trail have consulted United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1518 (UFCW) about joining the union.

Several Trail residents have already declared their support for the workers’ campaign including former Mayor Buddy Devito, West Kootenay Labour Council President Patsy Harmston, and Kootenay West MLA Katrine Conroy.

“Trail has an important union history that people in the area have not forgotten,” says Ivan Limpright, President of UFCW Local 1518. “Walmart Associates in Trail are no different, they are aware of what UFCW members working at the local Safeway and Extra Foods have achieved by joining the union.”
