Light the Night 2010: Walk with UFCW 1518 and Help Improve the Lives of Over 70,000 Canadians

Join UFCW 1518 for Light the Night, a 5km walk raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. By participating you are helping improve the lives of over 70,000 Canadians battling leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
The walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 16th, at Lumberman’s Arch in Stanley Park. Participants are to check-in at 6:00 PM, warm-ups start at 6:30 PM, and the walk kicks off at 7:00 PM.
We invite you to be a part of the union’s corporate team, UFCW 1518 HOT (Head Office Team). Join the team as a walker and raise funds, or sponsor a team member.
You are also encouraged to gather your friends, family, and co-workers and form your own team. Any participation in Light the Night gives you a chance to compete for great incentives:
Each walker who raises:
$100 – $499 Participants T-Shirts
$500 – $999 Stainless Steel Mug
$1,000 – $4,999 Bright Lights Hoody + $35 HBC card
$5,000 – $9,999 Shining Stars Tote Bag + $250 HBC card
$10,000+ Winners Circle Rain Jacket + $500 HBC card

Grand Prize: The top Individual in Canada will win two WestJet tickets to any destination in North America or the Caribbean.
Platinum Sponsors, UFCW 1518 and Local 247 are offering a $500.00 gift card to one team in each of these categories (Safeway, Overwaitea, Industrial, and other teams that do not fall within these specified categories) who raise the most funds over $1000.00.
