Ucluelet Co-op Workers Win Improvements at their Workplace
UFCW 1518 members at Ucluelet Co-Op have been enjoying the benefits of a new collective agreement in 2021. The changes came after a ratification vote succeeded on their new contract in November of 2021. Significant wage increases in second contract for First United Church
About 70 members working at First United Church in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside ratified a strong collective agreement last week. UFCW 1518 members working at Fresh St. Market in Surrey ratified a revised collective agreement last week by unanimous vote. The four-year deal feature significant wage improvements, including a start rate that is 40 cents above the minimum wage and climbs to $16.25 by 2023. Strong new contract for Rogers Foods
More than 50 UFCW 1518 members working at Rogers Foods in Armstrong, BC ratified a new collective agreement last week featuring the highest monetary package ever bargained by the union. Rogers Foods has been milling natural flour and cereal products from Canadian grains for over 60 years. Members ratify new contract at Aspen Gas
UFCW 1518 members working at Aspen Gas Centre in Comox ratified a new collective agreement in June, with the majority voting to accept the deal. Importantly, the union bargaining committee negotiated a minimum wage spread to address retention problems and to account for scheduled minimum wage increases scheduled annually for the next three years.
